Chart House sends frequent diner and mom around the world.SOLANA BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 1995--Commercial airline pilot Tim Morton was not the first member of the Chart House Aloha Club frequent-diner program to visit all of the company's 65 restaurants and achieve the Aloha Club ``Paradise Level'' member status. He was, however, the first to actually claim his Paradise Level award -- a trip for two around the world. Morton, 30, from Wendover, Nev., endeared himself to parents everywhere by choosing as his traveling companion his 64-year-old mother, Gloria. ``I think of it as a payback. She's been such a great mom. I wish I could take my dad, too,'' Morton said. Mom blushed. ``It's really very nice,'' she said. ``I thought he'd rather go with a nice girl.'' Launched in October 1993, the Aloha Club has signed up 280,000 members and has issued nearly $1.5 million worth of frequent-diner award certificates. As with most programs of its kind, members earn points redeemable for complimentary meals when they dine at Chart House restaurants. In addition, members are rewarded for touring the company's 65 unique locations, most of which feature dramatic architecture and waterfront sites or mountain vistas.
