Charlotte Temple Retires From Temple-Inland Inc. Board.

:TIN) today announced that Charlotte Temple has retired from its Board of Directors. Ms. Temple cited her desire to spend additional time on personal and business interests.

Ms. Temple joined the Temple-Inland Inc. Board in 1994, and during her tenure served on the Board's Public Policy/Environmental Committee and Audit Committee.

The Temple-Inland Inc. Board is comprised of a substantial majority of independent directors, and the membership of all committees of the Board consists entirely of independent outside directors.
