Charlotte Russe Goes Live with JDA Software in Five Months; Fast Fashion Retailer Implements JDA Portfolio to Support Growth Plans.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- JDA(R) Software Group Inc. (Nasdaq: JDAS) announced that Charlotte Russe Holding Inc. (Nasdaq: CHIC), a 370-store mall-based specialty apparel and accessories retailer, implemented several JDA Portfolio(R) applications in just five months for its contemporary fashion Rampage chain. The retailer also converted its junior fashion Charlotte Russe chain in seven months to JDA's Portfolio Merchandise Management(TM) (PMM(TM)), Performance Analysis by IDEAS(TM) and Advanced Planning Solutions by Arthur applications.

With plans to expand to more than 700 stores, Charlotte Russe needed a strategic solution that could handle large transaction volumes and improve inventory visibility and tracking.

Wong had a positive experience implementing JDA's Portfolio(TM) applications at another retail company, which removed the major variable risk that other vendors posed.

According to Wong, other vendors of host systems had unproven solutions, older technology and too much instability among their executive team, while another vendor offered unreliable third-party consulting services with an implementation process described as "very painful" by some retailers.

"We selected PMM because it is a flexible solution that enables us to granularly analyze the sales mix in multiple formats and offers more hierarchy levels, which is important for fashion," explained Wong.

Regarding JDA's planning and allocation functionality, Wong stated, "There have been a slew of software products introduced by various vendors, but those products just don't have JDA's market traction or broad footprint, and we didn't want to be one of the first implementations for those companies."
