Charles Wilson Joins Identification Technology Partners, Inc.

NORTH POTOMAC, Md. -- Identification Technology Partners, Inc. (IDTP), announced that Charles Wilson has joined IDTP as a partner in the firm. Mr. Wilson recently retired from the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) after 27 years of government service. Prior to joining IDTP, Mr. Wilson managed the Image group within NIST's Information Technology Division. Under his guidance, the Image Group developed the ANSI/NIST Fingerprint Data Exchange standard, and conducted extensive forensic fingerprint related testing and software development on behalf of the FBI, and other agencies. Post 911, Mr. Wilson coordinated the efforts to create biometric interoperability and accuracy testing, and supporting standards. Mr. Wilson led key projects in comparative and applied biometric system testing in the development of the biometric specifications (SP800-76) for the federal PIV credential.

Mr. Wilson received two Department of Commerce Gold Medal Awards and has authored over 60 scientific publications. He has been called upon by the government as a subject matter expert and is actively recruited as a distinguished panelist at industry and government conferences and consortia meetings. The biometric industry is developing rapidly and will, I am sure, have many opportunities for applying new approaches to commercial and government projects," Mr. Wilson said.
