Charles Stark Draper Charles Stark Draper, Sc.D. (October 2, 1901 – July 25,1987) is often referred to as "the father of inertial navigation." Born in Windsor, Missouri, he attended the University of Missouri in 1917, then transferred to Stanford University, California in 1919, from which he , Cambridge, Md., is being awarded a $13,685,465 cost-plus-fee contract for the development of a computer based integrated engineering Integrated Engineering is a multi-disciplinary, design project based engineering degree program.
