Charles Socarides.


CHARLES SOCARIDES Charles W. Socarides (January 24, 1922 - December 25,2005), was born in Brockton, Massachusetts. He was a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, physician, educator, and author. Socarides focused much of his career on the study of homosexuality and whether it can be altered. , 83, a psychiatrist whose discredited support for "conversion therapy" for gays was used by antigay activists for decades to fight against GLBT GLBT Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered  equality, of heart failure in New York City New York City: see New York, city.
