After high school Charles participated in a six month farming apprenticeship sponsored by the Maine Organic Farmer's Growing Association. He then settled in Natick, where he was employed by Sears. He was a member of Wellesley Boy Scout Troop 182 and the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church. He will be missed. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, May 12, at J.S. Waterman & Sons Funeral Home, 592 Washington St., Wellesley from 6 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington St., Wellesley Hills, MA at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 13 followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
