Charles Industries Announces Release of Mini-Mux 840 Remote Terminal for Cell Site Backhaul.

 remote terminals for DS1, DS3, and 10/100 Ethernet backhaul over fiber. Positioned to meet the ever-increasing need for high-bandwidth traffic backhauled from cell sites, Mini-Mux Remote Terminals offer carriers an economical, all-in-one solution for wireless backhaul applications.

The Mini-Mux 840 Remote Terminal is a small, environmentally protected cabinet that securely houses Charles' Mini-Mux 840L OC-3 Multiplexer. With multiple mounting, power, and protection configurations, the Mini-Mux 840 Remote Terminal is a flexible platform capable of addressing virtually all T1-over-fiber backhaul applications in such diverse applications as cell sites, business parks, legacy DLCs and other locations where T1 delivery over fiber is required.

The Mini-Mux 840 Remote Terminal is a carrier class OC-3 Multiplexer that supports up to 28 DS1s over an OC-3. Terminal and UPSR UPSR Unidirectional Path Switched Ring (SONET)

The Mini-Mux 840 Remote Terminal is the first commercially available offering in Charles' new line of environmentally protected multiplexer cabinets. The company plans to introduce additional Mini-Mux Remote Terminal solutions for its award-winning Mini-Mux 2000 and Mini-Mux 155 optical multiplexers later in the year.
