Charles Industries Announces Hiring of Jack V. Wood as Vice President of Telecom Sales.


New VP Brings 20 Years of Telecom Sales Experience to Charles Sales Team

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. -- Charles Industries, Ltd. today announced that Jack V. Wood has joined the company as vice president of telecom sales. With 20 years experience in telecommunications sales and product management, Wood brings extensive experience and industry recognition to his new position on Charles' Senior Management Team.

Wood's responsibilities will include Global Sales coordination and management. In this capacity, he will oversee implementation and maintenance of strategic sales and account plans, as well as Charles' sales organization and structure. Together with his sales team, Wood will work to maximize Charles' global presence and market share in Outside Plant and Broadband Access & Transmission product categories. In North America, Charles' fiber distribution pedestals, broadband multiplexers, and AdrenaLine xDSL line conditioners continue to receive industry recognition and increased customer satisfaction with RBOC (Regional Bell Operating Company) The Bell telephone companies that were spun off of AT&T by court order in 1984 (the Divestiture). Also known as the "Baby Bells," the initial seven RBOCs were Nynex, Bell Atlantic, BellSouth, Southwestern Bell, US West, , ILEC, IOC, wireless, and utility customers.

Wood brings more than 25 years of sales executive experience to Charles, including 20 years in the telecommunications industry with Raychem Corporation, Tyco Electronics, Terayon Communication Systems and Zoe Support. He will call on his broad-based familiarity with the telecommunications industry and proven track record in both sales and product management as he directs Charles' Telecommunications Group Sales team to continued success and market growth.
