PAXTON Charles H. Klippel, M.D., 87, of Paxton passed away
Thursday, October 11 at UMASS Medical Center.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Anna May Newton, M.D. He was born
in Sioux City Sioux City, city (1990 pop. 80,505), seat of Woodbury co., NW Iowa, at the junction of the Big Sioux and Floyd rivers with the Missouri; inc. 1857. It is a shipping, wholesale trade, and industrial center for an extensive agricultural and livestock area (including IA. Dr. Klippel and Dr. Newton were long time residents of

Toledo is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Lucas CountyGR6. , where he practiced pediatric surgery Pediatric surgery (sometimes spelled paediatric surgery) is a subspecialty of surgery involving the surgery of fetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Many pediatric surgeons practice at children's hospitals. and served on the
faculty of the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. He attended Harvard
College Harvard College is the undergraduate section and oldest school of Harvard University, founded in 1636 by the Massachusetts Legislature. The College is instructed by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, which also instructs the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. and Ohio State University Ohio State University, main campus at Columbus; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1870, opened 1873 as Ohio Agricultural and Mechanical College, renamed 1878. There are also campuses at Lima, Mansfield, Marion, and Newark. and graduated from Ohio State Medical
School in 1945. Dr. Klippel was an avid reader and writer, who also
enjoyed speaking as an active member of the Torch Club in Toledo and
Worcester. Dr. Klippel also leaves two children: his daughter, Alice
Livdahl, who with her husband Todd Livdahl and daughter Emily live in
Paxton, and his son, Charles Klippel, who lives in Avon, CT with his
wife Lee Klippel and their daughter Lee Case. He is also survived by his
brother, Rugh Klippel and his wife, Dorothy, of Basking Ridge, NJ; and
his brother-in-law, Melvin Lee and his wife, Frances, of Baca Raton, FL.
A private memorial gathering will be held at a future date.
