Charles Gregory Greenman, 59.


WORCESTER Services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 29th at Mercadante Funeral Home, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, for Charles Gregory Charles William Gregory (30 September 1878 – 14 November 1910) was an Australian cricketer who played for New South Wales.

In November 1906, Gregory scored 383 for New South Wales against Queensland, at the time an Australian record.
 Greenman, 59, of 4 Kensington Road Kensington Road is a short section of road in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea forming part of the A315. It runs along the south edge of Kensington Gardens. To the west it becomes Kensington High Street, to the east it becomes Kensington Gore. , Worcester, who died Monday, July 23, 2007.

The cause of death was a pulmonary embolus Pulmonary embolus
Blockage of an artery of the lung by foreign matter such as fat, tumor, tissue, or a clot originating from a vein.

Mr. Greenman was born on November 25, 1947, in Chicago, a son of Mary Clare and Martin A. Greenman. Mr. Greenmans mother, a high school English teacher, died in 1963. Mr. Greenmans father, a philosophy professor and Unitarian minister, died in 1989.

After high school, Mr. Greenman joined the U.S. Air Force. He trained as a psychiatric medic medic: see alfalfa.  and was assigned to an Air Force hospital in Texas, where he helped care for aircrews returning from duty in Vietnam.

Mr. Greenman was a graduate of Youngstown State University Youngstown State University, at Youngstown, Ohio; coeducational; est. 1908 as a department of the Youngstown Association School sponsored by the Young Men's Christian Association. , where he majored in English and electrical engineering technology Electrical engineering technology (EET) is an engineering technology field related to electrical engineering. In 1977, Mr. Greenman married Anjulie Peffer of Youngstown. They came to Worcester in 1986. She is a public school teacher in Worcester.

Mr. Greenman retired in 2007 from Intel Corporation (company) Intel Corporation - A US microelectronics manufacturer. They produced the Intel 4004, Intel 8080, Intel 8086, Intel 80186, Intel 80286, Intel 80386, Intel 486 and Pentium microprocessor families as well as many other integrated circuits and personal computer networking , where he was a senior consulting technical writer. Earlier in his career, he was a technical writer for Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard. Though his professional work was in computing, Mr. Greenmans main hobby was from an earlier time. He was a self-trained machinist whose basement shop produced sophisticated metal work.

Besides his wife, Mr. Greenman is survived by two sons, Al and Jack, both at home; a sister, Margaret Barmack, of Swampscott; and three brothers, John, of Columbus, Georgia; Martin, of Oakland, California; and Matthew, of Boulder, Colorado. A brother, Mark, died in 1977.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 28th at the funeral home.
