Liberty Bonds, along with some of Pataki's other Downtown endeavors including helping provide over $750 million in restoration and utility services, have helped many businesses survive, said Gargano.

He then thanked all the managers present, saying, "Your experience will help us." Your buildings are fuel for Manhattan's economic engine."

The governor's and mayor's "infrastructure improvement' plans include:

Building a "respectful setting for an important memorial" for victims of the 9-11 attacks;

Providing easier access to the JFK airport, including ferry service;

Building a new PATH station to accommodate the 150,000 commuters each day;
