Commercial real estate industry veteran heads new office that will focus on the Tri-City and San Gabriel Valley office markets

LOS ANGELES -- Charles Dunn Company Inc. announced today the opening of its new Tri-City office at the Glendale Galleria office tower in Glendale, Calif. The opening completes the company's presence in every major sub-market throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. Located at 100 West Broadway, this office will focus on the Tri-City (Glendale, Burbank and Pasadena) and San Gabriel Valley office markets.

William Boyd, a former executive vice president and managing director of another national commercial real estate services firm, has been tapped to spearhead the operations as a senior managing director. He'll be joined by fellow senior managing director Linda Lee, a former vice president of the same former company's office services group.

Boyd joined Grubb & Ellis in 1998, establishing himself as a key internal player and accounting for some of the company's largest deals during his time there. Accordingly, Boyd achieved the national distinction of Grubb & Ellis' "Circle of Excellence" designation. Prior to Grubb & Ellis, Boyd spent 17 years with CB Commercial's Los Angeles and Glendale offices where he represented the interest of lessors, sub-lessors, lessees, sellers and buyers. In 1990, he was the top income-producing office broker for CB Commercial in the United States. Throughout his brokerage career, Boyd has participated in leasing and sales transactions totaling in excess of more than $1.7 billion, and has been on leasing teams of over 5.25 million square feet of office space throughout the Los Angeles area. No other office building broker has participated in as many lease transactions, nor been responsible for the leasing of as much office building square footage in the Tri-City office submarket.

Boyd currently serves on the board of directors for Verdugo Hospital. Lee serves on the board of directors for the Glendale Chamber of Commerce and the Verdugo Housing Corporation, an organization that provides emergency shelter to local families in need.

A bona fide rising star in the industry, Lee specializes in the leasing and sales of office buildings within the Tri-City and San Gabriel Valley office markets. With a cumulative transactional value totaling more than $400 million, she has participated in many of the market's most significant transactions during her Grubb & Ellis career. Lee was recently featured in national publication Real Estate Forum as one of the "Top 30 Under 30" commercial real estate professionals to watch in 2007.

Peter Pearce, an associate, rounds out the team. Pearce holds an MBA with a focus on real estate and project management. He has specialized in commercial appraisal and valuation, and will act as a key component within the Glendale office.
