Charles Drevna Named NPRA Executive Vice President.WASHINGTON -- NPRA NPRA National Petrochemical and Refiners Association NPRA National Professional Rodeo Association NPRA National Petroleum Refiners Association NPRA National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska NPRA National Performance Results Act NPRA Nurse Practicing Act and Nursing Peer Review Act of 1999 , the National Petrochemical petrochemical, any one of a large group of chemicals derived from a component of petroleum or natural gas. The cracking processes for manufacturing gasoline produce vast quantities of gaseous hydrocarbons. & Refiners Association, announced today that Charles Drevna has been named Executive Vice President, effective immediately. In his new position, Drevna will be responsible for developing and coordinating NPRA's advocacy messages and government affairs activities. All public policy-related activities of the association will be supervised by him. He will continue to report to NPRA President Bob Slaughter who remains responsible for advocacy and public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most implementation and the general operation of the association. NPRA's Executive Committee approved the promotion during the association's 104th Annual Meeting held recently in Salt Lake City. "Charlie Drevna is a well-respected and talented member of the NPRA team, and it is a great pleasure to welcome him into his new role as NPRA's Executive Vice President, a promotion that he has clearly earned," said NPRA President Bob Slaughter. "He brings a wealth of experience to his new responsibilities and has won considerable respect, both within the industry and from government officials and their staffs. His NPRA co-workers, including myself, are grateful for his dedication and many contributions to the association." Charlie Drevna has close to 30 years of technical, business and public policy management experience in the refining refining, any of various processes for separating impurities from crude or semifinished materials. It includes the finer processes of metallurgy, the fractional distillation of petroleum into its commercial products, and the purifying of cane, beet, and maple sugar , petrochemical, and coal industries. Prior to joining NPRA in May 2002 as Technical Director, he had served as Manager, Northeast Government Relations for Tosco Corporation Tosco (The Oil Shale COrporation) was an independent U.S. based petroleum refining and marketing corporation. It was founded in 1955 in Santa Monica, California, and originally focused on efforts to extract oil products from oil shale and developing , Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs Regulatory Affairs (RA), also called Government Affairs, is a profession within regulated industries, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, energy, and banking.
