Charles Crisp Joins AGL Resources Board of Directors.

AGL Resources Inc. (NYSE: ATG) today announced that Charles R. Crisp, former president, chief executive officer and director of Coral Energy, LLC, a unit of Shell Oil Company, was elected to the Board of Directors of AGL Resources, effective April 16, 2003.

Mr. Crisp served most recently as president, chief executive officer and a director of Coral Energy, LLC, an affiliate of Shell Oil Company, from 1999 until his retirement in October 2000. Previously he served as president, chief operating officer and a director of Coral Energy from January 1998 through February 1999. Prior to his experience at Coral, Mr. Crisp held positions, including president of the domestic power generation group, at Houston Industries from 1996 until 1998. From 1988 to 1996, he served as president and a director of Tejas Gas Corporation, from its emergence as a public entity through its profitable growth as a leading intrastate natural gas pipeline company.
