In his new role he will be responsible for all of Sizzler's domestic and international operations reporting to the board of directors. Collins stated, "Our board and company management enthusiastically look forward to working with Chuck Boppell in furthering Sizzler's strategic development."

For the last five years Boppell has been the president and CEO of La Salsa Holding Company. Prior to La Salsa he was the CEO of Hudson's Grill of America. In the 1980s Boppell was president and CEO of Omaha, Neb.-based Godfather's Pizza. From 1977 to 1984 he was employed by PepsiCo Inc. where he served as president and CEO of Taco Bell from 1981 to 1984, after serving as senior vice president of Operations of Pizza Hut. Boppell graduated from Whitworth College in Washington, and then held various positions during a twelve year period with Saga Corp. based in Northern California.
