Charity show raises cash for neglected horses.At calder Farm Livery Yard A livery yard is a British name for stables where the owners normally pay a weekly or monthly fee to keep their horses there. This may be referred to as boarding in the USA. , Mirfield, all 54 residents pulled together to raise money for the Horses and Ponies Protection Association. Lynne Webster staged a Super Horse show with six classes to test both the horses' and riders' ability. Classes included Tack and Turnout, Ridden, Points Jumping, Handy Horse/Pony, Condition and Bonny Bonny (bŏn`ē), town, SE Nigeria, in the Niger River delta, on the Bight of Biafra. In the 18th and 19th cent., Bonny was the center of a powerful trading state, and in the 19th cent. it became the leading site for slave exportation in W Africa. Horse/Pony. Points from the classes were accumulated and the riders with the highest points won the title of Horse Champion and Pony Champion. A grand total of pounds 346 was raised for the charity, through entry fees and sponsorship from the yard owner Alan Chappelow, judge Pam Dews, Beers in a Box and Gail French. More money was raised at the after-show barbecue from the sales of cakes made by Mrs French. HAPPA was chosen to benefit from the money raised as the yard has its own HAPPA Horse, re-homed with new carer carer Noun a person who looks after someone who is ill or old, often a relative: the group offers support for the carers of those with dementia carer n → Karen after being rescued. The charity rescues neglected and mistreated horses and ponies and tries to re-home those they can into loving, permanent homes. The show was great fun as well as raising money for a good cause.
