Charity shop theft charge.


A MAN has been charged with theft after a purse was stolen from a woman's handbag in a charity shop.

The 67-year-old's purse was stolen from her bag in the British Heart Foundation The British Heart Foundation is a charity organisation in the United Kingdom that funds research, education, care and awareness campaigns aimed to prevent heart diseases in humans.  shop in Clayton Street, Newcastle at around 11.30am on Tuesday.

Daniel Rutherford Tams, 38, of Tiverton Avenue, Newcastle, was arrested and has been charged with theft.
