THORNABY: A scientist is helping to find a cure for rheumatoid arthritis in more ways than one. Eddy Flynn, 28, of Thornaby, is part of a research team at the University of Manchester The University of Manchester is a university located in Manchester, England. With over 40,000 students studying 500 academic programmes, more than 10,000 staff and an annual income of nearly £600 million it is the largest single-site University in the United Kingdom and receives  but he has also turned his hand to fundraising for the cause. Together with five of his colleagues Eddy scaled Yorkshire's Three Peaks in March to raise more than pounds 1,600 for the Arthritis Research Campaign Arthritis Research Campaign is a British medical research charity dedicated to curing arthritis.
