The motion says: "We applaud CRY for the support it offers those who have suffered loss from sudden cardiac death. We praise its projection of heart screening as a simple way of diagnosing most cardiac abnormalities". It also welcomes the charity's contribution to medical research and its donation of 39 electro-cardiogram machines in surgeries, accident and emergency centres and cardiac wards. Mr Jones has led the Parliamentary campaign for action on the syndrome after the death of Levon Morland, 22, from West Rainton, near Durham City. |
