The Gourmet Dinner is celebrating its 40th year in November 2004. The annual event raises the majority of the organization's annual budget for helping "at-risk" children throughout Orange County. Friedman has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters since 1994, serving as a chair and co-chair for the annual Gourmet Dinner for several years. This year, his donation will help recruit big brothers, screen mentors, fund events for the children and help the organization increase visibility with potential volunteers.
