In honor of local hero, Tom Jones, and his accomplishments this summer in the fight against child abuse, more than $46,000 was raised at the CHARM Foundation charity dinner to benefit America's needy children, Aug. 14 at the Waterfront Hilton in Huntington Beach Huntington Beach, city (1990 pop. 181,519), Orange co., S Calif., on the Pacific coast, across from Santa Catalina Island, in an oil-producing area; inc. 1909.
