Beginning September 22 and lasting through October 2, eager bidders will log on to the Celebrity Shoes for Orphans charity auction, hosted by eBay, The World's Online Marketplace(TM), in hopes of securing a pair of shoes autographed by their favorite celebrity or sports star.

To date, the program has provided more than 700,000 children with new shoes.

eBay, The World's Online Marketplace(TM), is hosting the online component of the Celebrity Shoes for Orphans charity auction.

Hallmark Channel is supporting the cause through public service announcements on its cable network, as well as through the adoption resource center found at www.hallmarkchannel.com, in order to increase awareness of adoption issues among its 55 million subscribers. The channel's original series "Adoption" began its second season in September with Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) Award-winning actress Jane Seymour serving as host.

Buckner Orphan Care International is part of one of the largest social services organizations of its kind in the nation with Shoes for Orphan Souls being one of the agency's many humanitarian outreach projects.
