Charity's Jacquie in the running for top award.A MUM who founded a charity in her daughter's memory has been voted through to the next round of a national competition. Jacquie Roeder is one of the last 30 people in the running to be named Britain's most inspirational in·spi·ra·tion·al adj. 1. Of or relating to inspiration. 2. Providing or intended to convey inspiration. 3. Resulting from inspiration. fundraiser. Mrs Roeder, 62, founded the Laura Crane Trust after her daughter's death from cancer in May, 1996. Laura, from Edgerton, was just 17 when she died. The charity, which helps 13 to 24-year-olds who have the disease, has raised more than pounds 1m. Mrs Roeder was one of 550 people entered for the competition. If she wins the charity will get pounds 20,000. The money would be used for a virtual chat room for patients having treatment in hospital.
