A FAIR operator and a fairground inspection company will answer charges at Wolverhampton Crown Court after a ride broke flinging two women 50ft through the air and leaving one with a broken neck.

Jessica Oseland, from Bradley, Bilston, suffered a broken neck at Jones's Funfair at Moxley Park, Bilston, in May 2006.

Ms Oseland, 27, is now tetraplegic. Alison Foxall, escaped with minor injuries after a pod pod, in botany

The name is usually pronounced "Crayd-ley", not "Crad-ley"; in the Black Country accent it may even sound like "Craig-ley" Heath. , and the firm Fairground Inspection Services Ltd appeared before Wolverhampton magistrates yesterday jointly charged with breaching the Health and Safety Act by failing to ensure the safety of a person other than an employee.

The case was committed to Wolverhampton Crown Court.
