Instead of his usual spot at the end of the bench, Jones turned and walked up five rows of bleachers and watched the Chargers from the stands.

He didn't go unnoticed.

"Unfortunately, he's not with us anymore," Chargers point guard Tryian Ridges said. "He's a good guy. Everybody liked him. ... When they saw him (in the stands), it kinda boosted them up."

A Luke Jackson sighting probably didn't hurt either.

Despite disarray in the front office, the Chargers rebounded from back-to-back loses with an impressive 136-98 victory Friday night over the Tacoma Jazz This article or section contains information about a  sporting event or team. .

Adam Zahn made his first start, and the Chargers (5-3) used a new offense and superior athleticism to run past the Jazz and brighten a dimming light on the franchise.

"It's a tough situation when you're in a short season and you try to make a change," said general manager Carl Berman Carl Berman (born April 5, 1985 in St. Petersburg, Florida) is an American football wide receiver with the Washington Redskins. He played collegiately at the Indiana State University. While at Indiana State, Berman caught a total of 136 catches for 1666 yards and had 11 touchdowns. , who will also serve as the coach for the remainder of the season. "But things are going pretty good."

He said finances played a part in the departures of Jones and team president Kara Kara (kär`ə), river, c.140 mi (230 km) long, NE European and NW Siberian Russia. "As far as the players, the facility and the town, this can be a success," he said. "We just need to get the word out ... and get people here to see a game like this tonight."

Even with a new coach, Ridges said the approach hasn't changed much for the players.

That was evident early on, when the Chargers rode two Zahn dunks to an 80-48 halftime lead.

"Some things you just gotta roll with," Ridges said. "We don't make that decision. It's like a regular business. ... We're still surrounded by good people."

Zahn finished with 20 points and fellow former Duck Jay Anderson added 11 off the bench.

Lamar Harris and Solomon Yearby had 22 points each and Jamar Bohannon added 19 for the Chargers, who play at Salem (9-0) tonight.
