Chapman has to share the honours.Byline: DAVID LOCKWOOD David Lockwood (The Blackcoated Worker, 1958 & 1989) sought to analyse the changes in the stratification position of the clerical worker by using a framework based on Max Weber's distinction between market and work situations. NOT for the first time, Outlane professional Dave Chapman Dave Chapman (born 1973 in Kent, England) is a British actor, television presenter, puppeteer and voice artist. Career Dave Chapman trained at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and The Jim Henson Company. bagged a share of the spoils when the Halifax, Huddersfield Alliance roadshow visited his own club this week. Partnered for the first time by his club captain, Peter Lawrence-Brown, Chapman (who has more victories on the circuit than he cares to remember) finished with 43 points, but on this occasion had to settle for a share of first place with Crosland Heath pro Richard Lambert and his partner Raymond Owen. A former president of the Alliance, Chapman drive the par four fourth and holed out for an eagle, while his partner Lawrence-Brown scored his share of the points, helped by three net birdies. In the Heath pairing, club professional Lambert matched Chapman's effort with an eagle at the par four 11th. The winning professionals' score was matched by the Am-Am players, with Dewsbury duo Adam Crum (2) and Jimmy Main (14) edging out Meltham's Chris Holmes (6) and Roy Johnson Main, a frequent winner on the Wednesday Society circuit, had a nett ace at the uphill fifth, when he hit the green from the tee and then knocked it in for two with a stroke. But it was on the back nine, where he and Crum carded 22 points, to pip Holmes (hoping to bounce back from his disappointment at losing out in the Examiner Matchplay final last week) and Johnson, who came home with 19 points. A total of 36 pairs took part in the Outlane event, and with entries now increasing, and most of the professionals available following the end of their seasonal tournaments, organisers are hoping for a good turn-out at Ogden in a fortnight.
