Chaparral Signs Consan as North American Distributor of External RAID Controllers.


LONGMONT, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 1999--Chaparral Technologies announced today the signing of Consan, a Gates/Arrow Company, as a national distributor for its External RAID Controllers A disk controller card that supports one or more RAID configurations. Originally only for SCSI drives, RAID controllers have become very popular for PATA and SATA drives. See RAID. .

Chaparral's family of external RAID controllers incorporates both Fibre Channel and Ultra2 SCSI See Ultra SCSI.  and is positioned as the price/performance leader for data-intensive storage applications. This new alliance between Chaparral and Consan will advance the efforts to bring integrated SAN solutions to the distribution channel.
