Chaparral Network Storage Adds Key Positions To Management Team.


LONGMONT, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1999--

Chaparral Network Storage, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of intelligent Routers and RAID controllers for storage area networks, today announced several new appointments to its management team.

The strategic positions filled include vice president of marketing, vice president of business development and manager of product test.

Robert Morris, the newly appointed vice president of marketing for Chaparral, will direct all aspects of the company's marketing efforts including: channel marketing, direct marketing, product management, strategic planning, public relations, advertising, tradeshows and events and Web marketing. Prior to joining Chaparral, Morris was president and COO of Gambit Automated Design/Synopsys Inc., an EDA (1) (Electronic Design Automation) Using the computer to design, lay out, verify and simulate the performance of electronic circuits on a chip or printed circuit board.  technology software tools and services company. Michael Hardy joins Chaparral in the strategic role of vice president of business development. Previously with TeraStor Corporation, Hardy will focus on developing Chaparral's business opportunities in Storage Area Networks (SANs) and identify future directions for Chaparral products. He will also be responsible for Chaparral's SAN Partner Program. In this role he will work to ensure that Chaparral SAN solutions are interoperable with products from leading software Fibre Channel hub and switch vendors and computer platform host bus adapters. Prior to TeraStor, Hardy worked with Silicon Graphics, Vangard Technology, Inc. and ATL (Active Template Library) A set of software routines from Microsoft that provide the basic framework for creating ActiveX and COM objects. Stemming from the standard template library (STL) that comes with C++ compilers, ATL includes an object wizard that sets up  Products in various management roles.

Robert Henderson joins Chaparral Network Storage as manager of product test. Reporting to Jerry L. Walker, executive vice president of operations, Henderson is responsible for product qualification and interoperability testing for Chaparral's RAID and Router products. Henderson has over 15 years experience in the data storage industry, including nine years at Exabyte Corporation where he held various test and software management positions. Prior to Exabyte, Henderson was an engineer and manager at Tallgrass Technologies in Lenexa, Kansas.
