integrated mobility management solutions for wireless
networks. The company is headquartered in Boston with

San Francisco and Toronto. Chantry is backed by top-tier

WHAT: Chantry Networks will demonstrate the benefits of a routed
infrastructure for wireless voice, data and applications
traffic this week at the EDUCAUSE 2004 Annual Conference.
Live demonstrations will give attendees hands-on experience
with the newest capabilities within BeaconWorks 2.0, the
latest version of Chantry's WLAN solution designed for
widespread adoption of voice over IP (VoIP) and the
anticipated adoption of multimedia applications across
wireless networks.
Chantry will demonstrate seamless IP roaming and voice over
Wi-Fi (VoFi) from one access point, or BeaconPoint(TM), to
another using SpectraLink's NetLink Wireless telephones. This
combination delivers virtually zero latency for wireless
multimedia traffic and guarantees the highest QoS levels
across multiple subnets through BeaconWorks' fast-handoff
capabilities. Demonstrations will also feature Chantry's
award-winning VNSWorks(TM) technology, which is embedded in
BeaconWorks, and addresses the key requirement for wireless
in education by enabling separate virtual network
segmentation for students, faculty, staff and visitors over
one single physical network - providing enhanced wireless
service at a lower cost.
BeaconWorks has been deployed at some of the world's
leading institutions for higher education as well as a
number of primary and secondary schools in the U.S. and
Canada. During the event attendees will have the
opportunity to speak with some of Chantry's academic
institution customers about the unique requirements of
campus-wide wireless deployments.
