Bassias holds a doctorate degree in theoretical physics and a master's degree in statistical physics from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. He also earned a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering, with a specialization in telecommunications from National Polytechnical University, Athens, Greece.
