Chantal Pharmaceutical signs marketing agreement with Stanson Marketing.

:CHTL) announced today that it has signed a marketing agreement with Stanson Marketing Inc., of Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. , to distribute the company's line of Ethocyn-based skin care products to physicians and pharmacies in North America.

The announcement was made by Chantal Burnison, chairman and chief executive officer of Chantal Pharmaceutical Corp.

The agreement became effective at July 1, 1995, and calls for Stanson to market the Chantal Ethocyn Skin Treatment Products to more than 25,000 chain and independent drug stores as well as to some 10,000 dermatologists in the U.S. According to Chantal, it is estimated that 3,000 dermatologists sell skin care products in their offices to patients, while the remaining 7,000 refer patients to use specific lines of products.

"This agreement represents a significant step for Chantal Pharmaceutical," Burnison stated. "The company is very comfortable with the experienced team and marketing ability of Stanson under the leadership of Mr. Fred Reinstein, who has proven successes in the area of health and beauty products marketing. It is our belief that the experience of Stanson and its current and future support can best get the products into the marketplace. Stanson has the resources to provide physician and pharmacist detailing support, advertising and public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  to the product line in a manner that would not be possible for the company to carry out as expediently and as cost effectively."

The agreement covers North America, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean and is for the life of the Ethocyn patents, which will expire in 2004.

Chantal Pharmaceutical Corp. is the developer and exclusive marketer of the patented Ethocyn compound shown in clinical tests to optimize the skins natural ability to produce elastin elastin /elas·tin/ (e-las´tin) a yellow scleroprotein, the essential constituent of elastic connective tissue; it is brittle when dry, but when moist is flexible and elastic.
