Chantal Chamandy Scores a Triple Hit on Billboard, FMQB AC, and R&R with ``Feels Like Love'' and Debut Single ``You Want Me'' Featured on NBC's ``Passions'' May 25th!


LOS ANGELES Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  -- Chantal Chamandy Chantal Chamandy is a singer/songwriter of Greek and Lebanese descent, and was born in Alexandria, Egypt. She moved to Montreal, Canada when she was a young girl, and speaks French, Italian and Spanish as well as Arabic and English.  is an across-the-board phenomenon with her hit "Feels Like Love" on Billboard's Hot AC Chart at #35*, FMQB FMQB Friday Morning Quarterback, Inc.  AC's Chart at #10*, and #7 on R&R all in the same week! The track "Feels Like Love" features the lush guitar work and spirited vocals of former Gipsy Kings Gipsy Kings are a group from Arles and Montpellier (specifically from a Cité outside of Montpellier called Phobos, which was later bulldozed) in France. Their parents fled from Spain during the Spanish Civil War.  member Chico Castillo, and with the U.S. release of her debut album due July 18th, we can only look forward to more great things to come from this Montreal-based artist.

Chamandy's first single "You Want Me" can be heard on NBC's daytime drama "Passions" today, May 25th, at 2pm PDT PDT

. The hot single was responsible for crowning Chantal as the first Egyptian artist to chart Top 10 on R&R with her hot reggaeton version of "You Want Me" featuring Puerto Rican singer Tigre. Moving from #11* to #9* on the newest R&R Chart -- Radio y Musica, Chamandy can attribute her exotic charms and sensuous melodies to the heritage of her birthplace, Alexandria, Egypt -- the rich cultural hub on the river Nile whose lore includes tales of Alexander the Great, Cleopatra and other legendary queens of ancient Egyptian dynasties.
