Channell Adds Peter J. Hicks to Board of Directors.

TEMECULA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 7, 2000

Channell Commercial Corp. (Nasdaq:CHNL CHNL Channel ) Tuesday announced that Peter J. Hicks has been elected as a member of the company's board of directors.

Hicks, a managing director of Linx Partners, an investment firm specializing in private industrial equity investments, has more than 23 years of investment banking experience.

 said: "Peter Hicks brings a wealth of business and investment banking experience and we are very pleased he has agreed to join our board. Our objective is to have a wide variety of backgrounds and experience represented on the Channell board.

Hicks, a managing director of Schroder & Co. Inc. from 1987 to 1999, was co-founder and global finance head of the firm's Industrial Manufacturing Group. During Hicks' tenure, the Industrial Manufacturing Group completed more than 200 corporate finance transactions primarily in the areas of industrial mergers and acquisitions and private and public capital raising.

Prior to joining Schroders in 1986, Hicks was a managing director in the Corporate Finance Department of Prudential Securities. During the 1985 and 1986 academic years, Hicks was an adjunct professor of finance at Columbia University Columbia University, mainly in New York City; founded 1754 as King's College by grant of King George II; first college in New York City, fifth oldest in the United States; one of the eight Ivy League institutions.  Business School.

He holds a master of business administration degree from the Colgate Darden Colgate Whitehead Darden, Jr. (February 11, 1897 - June 9, 1981) was a Democratic Congressman from Virginia (1933-37, 1939-41), Governor of Virginia (1942-46), Chancellor of the College of William and Mary (1946-47) and the third President of the University of Virginia (1947-59).  School of Business and the University of Virginia and a bachelor of arts degree from Wesleyan University.

Hicks is a member of the advisory board of China Online, an Internet information company based in Chicago, and has served on the boards of Loan Pricing Corp. and Intermarket Inc. He is presently a member of the board of trustees board of trustees Politics The posse of thugs who oversee an institution's administration.
