Tony Anderson began his broadcast journalism career at BET Networks as a guest VJ Host. Most recently, Tony worked at MTV Networks in New York as a performer and panelist for several shows on the network. Tony is a Delaware State University Delaware State University (DSU), the second-largest university in the state of Delaware, is a historically black university. Over the last 116 years, it has evolved into a fully accredited, comprehensive university with a main campus located in Dover, Delaware and two satellite  graduate with Bachelors of Arts Degree in Mass Communications and a Minor in Theater Arts.

During the first week of programming, students are getting to know the new faces of Channel One News through a special "Who am I" segment that will highlight reporter profiles as a way to foster close connections between those reporting and those viewing the daily news and public affair broadcast. The reporters will also solicit ongoing feedback and user-generated content from the audience they serve, creating continuity between student interest and news coverage.

Overseeing the new team reporters from a New York City-based news studio is Executive News Producer, Kristy Schantz. "Jessica, Chris and Tony are poised, professional and enthusiastic about the opportunity to make news more interesting and relevant to teens. They truly see this as a chance to impact teen news literacy," said Schantz. "Just a week on the job, they are hard at work in the field reporting from New Orleans and other areas where news and debate is unfolding."

On the programming side, the tone, pace and format of Channel One News comes back on air with an extra shot of energy. Through a newly formed partnership, Channel One News now has the global reach and production capabilities of NBC News' Peacock Productions, giving reporters immediate and unprecedented access to breaking news stories across the country and around the world. Students and educators can also look forward to the integration of more student-generated content. As a springboard into journalism, student generated news will enable reporting of very local events and story angles, and give students a platform to encourage discussion, express feedback and opinions on news, politics and culture. Heading up the production for NBC News' Peacock Productions is Tim Peek.
