industry, announced today a new release of its eLinx(TM) Order Management System and e-commerce platform.

The new release, Version 3.7, contains a number of enhancements and new modules specifically designed to meet the needs of construction and building materials professionals.

eLinx is a software application and toolset that can be used to streamline and improve the buying, selling, and customer service processes of any company. eLinx contains an integrated online catalog Similar to an online library or databases in the information storage respect, ‘’’online catalogs’’’ allow potential customers to browse a company’s items for sale from a different location using the internet.  for presenting products and services over the Internet, as well as a variety of tools for preparing and moving product content to the web. eLinx can be used as a complete e-commerce package, or companies can use specific modules of eLinx to integrate with their own e-commerce applications and strategy.

Specific enhancements included in Version 3.7 of eLinx are outlined below.

--The Customer Service Module allows a supplier's customers and/or customer service representatives to access account and order status information directly from the supplier's website. Customers can view their aged account information and statements, and can drill down to see specific transactions and line items. Online reports allow customers to search for and view the status of documents (i.e., orders, credits, and quotes), as well as to sort their purchase history in a variety of ways. By allowing customers to access this information online, suppliers can eliminate many of the inquiry phone calls that are common today. A number of suppliers, primarily within the lumber lumber, term for timber that has been cut into boards for use as a building material. The major steps in producing lumber involve logging (the felling and preparation of timber for shipment to sawmills), sawing the logs into boards, grading the boards according to  dealer community, are already implementing this new module.

Suppliers can manage RFQs from their customers, easily convert RFQs to bids, and submit them to buyers online. Both parties can use the online negotiating feature to revise bids as desired until final agreement is reached, at which time a bid can be instantly converted to an order.

--The Shipping Load Calculator calculator or calculating machine, device for performing numerical computations; it may be mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic. The electronic computer is also a calculator but performs other functions as well.  allows eLinx users to determine the percentage of a truck or other carrier that is filled by an order. Based on each item's weight and volume, eLinx calculates how much of the truck's capacity is being utilized for the shipment. Users can then adjust purchase quantities as necessary to maximize shipping efficiency.

--Desktop Receiving allows users to receive items against outstanding purchase orders, and to have that receipt information automatically flow to their back-office system. Combined with eLinx's wireless capability, this allows receiving to take place wherever it's most convenient.

--The Tally Lumber Calculator allows a buyer to specify various lengths of lumber sold by the lineal That which comes in a line, particularly a direct line, as from parent to child or grandparent to grandchild.
