Changjiu Biochemical expands acrylamide project.

Jiangxi Changjiu Biochemical Industry Co., Ltd. (Changjiu Biochemical, SH: 600228) recently publicly announced that its holding subsidiary--Jiangxi Changjiu Agricultural Science Chemical Co., Ltd. would newly build another 25 000 t/a acrylamide production unit on the basis of the existing 30 000 t/a acrylamide capacity. The new unit will spent RMB61 million, among which RMB40 million and RMB21 million depend on the bank loan and the company itself respectively. Construction on the 25 000 t/a acrylamide production unit was started on June 6th, 2007 and is planed to take 6 months.
