Changes to Comdial Corporation's Board of Directors; Three Industry Leaders Welcomed to New Positions on Comdial's Board.

), a leading enterprise telecommunications provider, today announced changes to its board of directors. Robert P. Collins has been named Comdial's chairman of the board, replacing Dianne Walker Dianne Walker is a world famous tap dancer known as "Lady Di." She began her dance training in Boston with Mildred Kennedy-Bradic and later studied with Leon Collins, Jimmy "Sir Slyde" Mitchell and Jimmy Slyde.  who has resigned from the board. Nick Branica has been named vice chairman and Stewart Sutcliffe has been elected to Comdial's board of directors. These changes were effective February 15, 2002.

Robert P. Collins has contributed his extensive business expertise to Comdial's board for several years. As the new chairman, he will further contribute to the revitalization of the Company and provide guidance to the Company's strategies for improved penetration of the traditional telecommunications and converging data communications data communications, application of telecommunications technology to the problem of transmitting data, especially to, from, or between computers. Currently as chief executive officer of Capstone Partners Inc., he does consulting for companies requiring expertise in international business development and operational efficiency improvement. He also is a director of CSE (Certified Systems Engineer) See Microsoft certification.  Systems and Engineering Ltd., WI Industries of Houston, and chairman of the advisory board of DataSweep Corporation.

Nick Branica, who was appointed president and chief executive officer of Comdial Corporation in October of 2000, has now been elected to vice chairman.
