The Board of Directors of Syscan International Inc. Mr. Ouimet joins Syscan following a successful leadership role at EDS (Electronic Data Systems, Plano, TX, www.eds.com) Founded in 1962 by H. Mr. Ouimet has spent the last 5 years building EDS' telecom business and in doing so has developed solid and respected credentials at the most senior levels of the Canadian telecom sector that will assist Syscan in its development and marketing of communication products for these markets. The Board of Directors of Syscan would like to thank Mr. Andre Larente for contributing to Syscan over the past year. Mr. Larente has chosen to pursue other opportunities and will be replaced on the Board by Mr. Ouimet. Syscan's new strategic expansion plan into the mobile wireless communications market takes advantage of its 26 years of experience in developing products for this sector. It is focusing its R&D efforts on developing new products that incorporate the emerging Symbian operating system for the next generation of cellular devices and on "Bluetooth" and "WAP (1) (Wireless Access Point) See access point.
