Chancellor Academies Opens Its Fourth Arizona Charter School; Leading Education Group Will Also Operate an Early Learning Center.

Coconut Grove-based Chancellor Academies, (www.chancelloracademies.com), today announced plans to open a fourth charter school site in the state of Arizona Arizona (âr'əzō`nə), state in the southwestern United States. It is bordered by Utah (N), New Mexico (E), Mexico (S), and, across the Colorado R., Nevada and California (W). . The Chancellor Charter School at Sierra Vista will serve 275 students, K-8, and the Chancellor Early Learning Center will serve 150 children, ages six weeks to six years old.

The Sierra Vista school brings to four the number of charter schools that will open under the Chancellor name beginning in the fall of 2001. Three of those schools are currently under construction in the Greater Phoenix area: two in North Phoenix (Bell Canyon and Cortez Park) and a third in Gilbert.

Chancellor will provide transportation, maintain small class sizes of no more than 25 children per classroom and will integrate technology into its proprietary, theme-based curriculum. Chancellor teachers are certified See certification.  and receive ongoing training throughout the school year. Chancellor will also offer before and after care for kindergarten kindergarten [Ger.,=garden of children], system of preschool education. Friedrich Froebel designed (1837) the kindergarten to provide an educational situation less formal than that of the elementary school but one in which children's creative play instincts would be  children.

The new Chancellor Charter School at Sierra Vista is located at 1746 Paseo San Luis San Luis, city (1991 pop. 110,353), capital of San Luis prov., W central Argentina. The city is the commercial center of an area producing cattle, corn, and asparagus; the surrounding area has timber and mineral resources. San Luis is a popular resort.  and the Chancellor Early Learning Center is located at 1764 Paseo San Luis, Sierra Vista, Arizona Sierra Vista is a city in Cochise County, Arizona, USA.
