 their dance moves with a world-class workshop next week.

Anyone aged eight to 19 can take part in the course, led by top dance academy Robert Hylton Urban Classicism classicism, a term that, when applied generally, means clearness, elegance, symmetry, and repose produced by attention to traditional forms. It is sometimes synonymous with excellence or artistic quality of high distinction.  (RHUC RHUC Robert Hylton Urban Classicism (hip hop, theatre, film, and dance group) ).

And at the end of the week-long workshop, students will put on a show for friends and family.

The classes, at Holmwood Dance Studio in Middlesbrough, will teach hip-hop and contemporary dance.

They have been set up by the Youth Dance Academy in partnership with Middlesbrough Council's arts development team and Tees Valley Dance.

Director of the Youth Dance Academy Martin Hylton, pictured, said the opportunity to learn from the RHUC was not to be missed.

He said: "The summer school is a superb opportunity for young people to work with such a well renowned organisation.

"Robert's classes are certain to be highly inspirational as he himself is originally from the region and has gone on to carve a successful dance career. "

Classes cost pounds 20 for the full week but some participants may qualify for the discounted rate of pounds 5.
