Chance to view prized title-winning memorabilia; TOWN SUPPORTERS ASSOCIATION COLUMN.READERS may remember that towards the end of last year, the Town Supporters Association was proud to announce the acquisition of a unique set of memorabilia belonging to Billy Smith and his son, Conway. We are now able to say that some of the most famous items from that collection are on display at the National Football Museum in Preston. There you can see medals commemorating Town's illustrious il·lus·tri·ous adj. 1. Well known and very distinguished; eminent. See Synonyms at noted. 2. Obsolete Shining brightly. history. Firstly, a cup winner's medal for 1922, when the winning goal, a penalty, was scored by none other than medal holder Smith himself. Then Billy's three championship medals for 1923-24, 1924-25 and 1925-26. These are accompanied by photographs taken from a unique blotter A written record of arrests and other occurrences maintained by the police. The report kept by the police when a suspect is booked, which involves the written recording of facts about the person's arrest and the charges against him or her. BLOTTER, mer. law. of the 1930s showing a team photograph for each year of the club's history. We have also be gun discussions with the Club and Kirklees Stadium Development Company to try to find a permanent home in the stadium for items from the collection so that Town fans will have an opportunity for themselves to see this great collection. In the meantime Adv. 1. in the meantime - during the intervening time; "meanwhile I will not think about the problem"; "meantime he was attentive to his other interests"; "in the meantime the police were notified" meantime, meanwhile , however, why not give yourselves a treat by visiting the Preston museum at Deepdale? Entry is free and the museum is open from 10.00 to 5.00 Tuesday to Saturday and 11.00 to 5.00 Sunday. Appropriately a visit to the National Football Museum is 'a game of two halves.' On the ground floor the First Half gallery traces the history of the game and this is where the items described above are to be found. On the first and second floors the Second Half gallery is full of exciting hands-on inter-actives. However, back to more immediate matters!
