Chance to take polo plunge.


YOUNG swimmers at Walsall Walsall (wôl`sôl), city (1991 pop. 177,923) and metropolitan district, W central England, in the Black Country. Iron and brass founding, limestone quarrying, and the manufacture of leather goods, small hardware, plastics, electronics,  are being sought to take the plunge Take The Plunge was an early evening game show that was produced by Thames Television and aired on the ITV network for one series in 1989, the programme was hosted by comedy actress Su Pollard.  and learn how to play water polo water polo, swimming game encompassing features of soccer, football, basketball, and hockey. The object of the game is to maneuver, by head, feet, or hand, a leather-covered ball 27 to 28 in. .

Practice sessions have been arranged for eight to 16 year olds at the town's Gala Baths in Tower Street and leisure bosses today urged them to take part.

Tim Challans, assistant director for leisure and culture, said: "We're looking for people who may enjoy swimming and who may want to meet some new friends and learn a new activity.

"It's one of our aims as an authority to encourage young people to lead healthy lifestyles and these water polo sessions do just that."

The sessions, with trained coaches, are taking place on Thursdays between 4pm and 5pm and youngsters wishing to take part should phone the Gala Baths on 01922 653150.
