ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 29, 2000

Champps Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq:CMPP CMPP Centre Médico-Psycho-Pédagogique ) announced today the acquisition of two franchised Champps Americana restaurants located in Minnetonka, Minnesota For other uses, see Minnetonka (disambiguation).
Minnetonka is a suburban community located eight miles west of Minneapolis in Hennepin County. Its 2000 population of 51,480 makes it the fourteenth largest city in Minnesota.

. The franchised locations were owned or controlled by Dean Vlahos, a former executive and director of the Company. The purchase price for each of the restaurants was $5,675,000. The purchases were financed in part by proceeds from loans totaling $9,500,000 from FINOVA Capital Corporation.
