ChampionLyte Products, Inc. New Trading Symbol is CPLY; New Symbol the Result of Company Name Change.

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 2001

Effective October 3, 2001, the trading symbol for ChampionLyte Products, Inc. is CPLY. Due to a publication error, the new symbol was reported incorrectly in various media outlets earlier this week.

The new symbol is a key element in the Company's name change from Meridian USA Holdings, Inc. (MUSD) to ChampionLyte Products, Inc. (OTCBB:CPLY).

ChampionLyte Products, Inc. is the developer and marketer of ChampionLyte(R), the only sugar-free, calorie-free, carbohydrate-free sports drink on the market and Sweet `N Low(R) sugar-free syrups.

"We made the Company name change to better reflect the rapidly growing consumer recognition of ChampionLyte(R)," Alan Posner, CEO of ChampionLyte Products. "The stock symbol was changed to coincide with the company name change."

ChampionLyte(R) is the first completely sugar-free entry into the $2.3 billion isotonic sports drink market. The products that currently dominate the market have between 33 and 38 grams of sugar and up to 150 calories in a 20 ounce bottle.

ChampionLyte(R), is the only sports drink with the benefits of electrolyte replacement without sugar, fat, calories or carbohydrates. All four flavors, lemon-lime, orange, grape and fruit punch, were awarded the 2000 and 2001 American Taste Award of Excellence.

The Company said it will soon introduce two new flavors of ChampionLyte(R) - Pink Lemonade and Blue Raspberry(TM).

ChampionLyte Products is also the developer of the proprietary Sweet'N Low(R) brand sugar-free, fat-free and cholesterol-free syrups which are sold in more than 20,000 retails outlets throughout the nation including Krogers, Winn Dixie, Albertsons, Shop Rite, Stop & Shop, Jewel and Wal-Mart SuperCenters. The syrups are also exported to several foreign countries.
