The area lies within the historic county boundaries of Yorkshire, though spans the ceremonial counties of North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, and Cumbria. National Park, has notched up a string of awards at one of the most prestigious shows in the cheese makers' calendar. The Wensleydale Creamery, the only makers of Wensleydale cheese in Wensleydale, won six medals and a cup for its Real Yorkshire Wensleydale cheeses at the International Cheese Show at Nantwich. Accolades included two golds, two bronzes and the Ted Hassall Cup for Champion Fas rmhouse Traditional Cheese. |
