Champion announces fourth quarter and full year audited results.


GODERICH, ONTARIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 15, 1996--Champion Road Machinery Limited today announced net income for the fourth quarter ended December December: see month.  31, 1995 of $3,563,000 versus fourth quarter 1994 net income of $3,458,000.

Earnings per share were $0.32 on an average of 11,171,200 shares outstanding for the fourth quarter of 1995, compared with earnings per share of $0.32 on 11,170,000 shares outstanding a year earlier. Fourth quarter net sales Net Sales

This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight

For the twelve months ended December 31, 1995, net income was $9,502,000 compared to net income of $9,293,000 for fiscal 1994. Earnings per share were $0.85, versus $0.90 for the same period in 1994. Net sales increased 28% year over year from $176,335,000 in 1994 to $225,741,000 in 1995.

In addition, the Board of Directors has approved a quarterly dividend on the Company's common shares of $0.05 per share, payable on April 3, 1996 to shareholders of record as of March 15, 1995.
