Champion Battery Ranks As Magazine's Best.

A Champion(R) brand automotive battery from GNB Technologies Inc. received top marks in quality in a recent survey by one of the country's foremost product evaluation magazines.

GNB is a leading manufacturer, recycler and marketer of lead-acid batteries.

The GNB Champion Gold Series 35-1 ranked at the top of the 12 batteries tested in the group 35 size, with an excellent rating for cold-cranking amps (CCA) and a good rating for reserve capacity (RC). CCA is critical to starting a vehicle. It measures how much current a battery can produce to turn the starter at 0(Degree)F. The magazine based its testing on a measure of how long a battery can provide half its rated amount until its voltage drops to 7.2 volts.

The RC rating reflects how long the battery can keep an engine running without the alternator. The "good" ranking assigned to the Champion Gold Series 35-1 signifies that it met the testing standard of supplying 25 amps at 80(Degrees)F for its rated 90 minutes before voltage drops below 10.5 volts.
