The game will kick off the Grand Opening Celebration for the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, scheduled for June 3-5. "I am looking forward to playing in Knoxville in front of all the fans who supported me the past four years," said Holdsclaw, selected last week by the Mystics with the first pick in the WNBA Draft. "The fans in Knoxville are the best in the country, and I hope they will come and see my new team," she said. The Washington Mystics, coached by former University of Tennessee Lady Vol assistant coach Nancy Darsch, also includes 1996 Olympic gold medal winner, and former Lady Vol Nikki McCray. Houston, under the direction of head coach Van Chancellor, is led by all-WNBA performers Cynthia Cooper, Sheryl Swoopes, and Tina Thompson. "I love the match-up!" said Houston Comets Head Coach Van Chancellor.
