Some chambers have seen budgets fall due to small membership decreases from a year ago. That results in lower income for chambers, most of which rely on dues to support their operations. Chambers of commerce provide members with a variety of events and services. County with an annual budget of $7.7 million for the 2009 fiscal year. That's down $550,000 from the previous year. The chamber has created an Accelerate Recovery initiative in order to help businesses grow and lobbied for projects that have created or saved 45,908 jobs.
